Previous Release

Version 7.3.0 was released in August 2022 and has been succeeded by newer versions.

Important

Before installing this version, your Tricerat Licensing Server must be upgraded to v5.5.2.3 or later!  The upgrade to v5.5.2.3 Tricerat Licensing Server needs to be completed before upgrading any server session agent to avoid license checkout issues!  See this page for upgrade instructions: Upgrading Your License Server  The latest version is v5.5.2.3

Version 7 products are not compatible with version 6 activation codes. You will need new activation codes for version 7 products. Please contact your Salesperson for more information.

Important

Before installing this version, you must install the .Net 4.8 Runtime. Failure to do so will prevent license activation of a nodelocked license and all UI’s will fail to run due to its dependency on this version of .Net.

Product Refocus

New Features and Enhancements

  • Generic Printer Profiles have been introduced for Direct Printers.

  • The Tricerat License Server v5.5.2.3 has been updated to use the latest X-Formation SDK v5.2.3. This means your license server needs to be updated before installing v7.3.0 server components. The new version may be installed to the drive of your choice.

  • The Print Server removes temporary files upon startup that it may have created previously.

  • All temporary files have been reworked and their location can be controlled by registry additions on client or server.

  • A new Linux Scanning Client is now available.

  • All platforms are now supported by the server auto-update functionality.

  • Improved Advanced Print Feature driver support, specifically for driver KIP 7170K

Improvements and Fixes

  • ScrewDrivers Administration, fixed a bug when saving ScrewDrivers Session objects.

  • When the user is SYSTEM, we append the machine name before checking out a license to make it unique.

  • Improved Tricerat Automation interface and added support for IP and IP range custom owners.

  • Improved logging for non-Windows platforms.

  • Improved margin and orientation print calculations for non-Windows platforms

  • Improved installers for Non-Windows platforms.

  • Fixed client scanner install issue where registry contained scanner duplicates after an upgrade from a previous version.

  • Fixed several issues with Non-Windows client connections to the Gateway server.

  • Other minor updates, fixes and logging improvements.

Known Issues

  • We no longer support the deployment of a v6 style Simplify Console in the Pro/Enterprise installer.

  • If the ScrewDrivers Administration active tab is Reporting, the report viewer will hide portions of the File->Options or Help->About windows due to a technical limitation. A workaround does exist, just change to another tab view before displaying the File->Options or Help->About window. We do not expect this to be fixed in a future version.

  • For the new Linux Scanning Client, we only support the image resolution to the highest or lowest resolution support by Fujitsu scanners. This will be addressed in a future version.
