Version 7 Port Usage

Here is a summary of default port usage by various Tricerat components. Only TCP/IP protocols are used unless noted.

Microsoft SQL Server

  • Incoming Microsoft default port is 1433.  All our connections use a secure TLS 1.2 enabled driver

  • Outgoing – None

X-Formation License Server

  • Incoming default port is 6200

  • Outgoing – only during license activation and is a https request to X-Formation

Gateway Server - used by Windows TCP/IP client and non-windows platforms

  • Incoming – 4600 with secure TLS 1.2 encrypted connections

  • Outgoing - None

Print Server

  • Incoming port range for v7 is 5550-5553 with secure TLS 1.2 encrypted connections

  • Outgoing – None

Application server or Desktop

  • Incoming – None

  • Outgoing – To SQL Server, License Server, Gateway Server, Print Server or Internal Cloud Connector

Cloud Connector

  • Internal connector needs port 5551 open for remote connectors to authenticate with internal connector. Uses port 5550 for internal connections. Only accepts incoming connections.

  • Remote connector uses port 5551 to reach/authenticate with internal. Remote connector makes outgoing connections to print servers on port 5550 or 5553. Only makes outgoing connections.
