New Features and Enhancements

• It's official, our new Simplify Driver Management product has moved out of the Technical Preview phase and into production!  For more details on this Suite based product see https://www.tricerat.com/solution/simplify-driver-management/

• A new product, Simplify Print Server Proxy, better supports print server printing in remote, fire-walled environments. Please Contact Tricerat Support if you are interested.

• A tool to help migrate ScrewDrivers v4 settings to ScrewDrivers v6 settings, is available upon request. Please Contact Tricerat Support if you are interested.

• When using a License Server and concurrent style licensing, a 72 hour grace period is enabled when the license server cannot be reached.

Improvements and Fixes

• Several installer bugs were fixed.

• Installers properly support the Modify option.

• Improved Simplify Profiles Copy/Move of Files/Folders handling of error conditions.

• The Tricerat v4 Removal Script.ps1 has been renamed to Tricerat Removal Script.ps1 and improved to include removal of print environment entries. This script will remove any version of any installed Tricerat product.

• The ScrewDrivers client control panel was modified to not query denied printers. This restores the behavior of the v4 product and allows for better troubleshooting of client printer drivers.

• Improved Simplify Desktop when Simplify Profiles was not installed.

• Fixed a Simplify Scanning bug with detecting blank duplex pages.

• Fixed several Simplify Scanning bugs related to scan profiles. Changed "Duplex" to "Duplex Doc Feeder" for clarity.

• Simplify Scanning server product installers are compatible with previously installed v6 Tricerat products.

• Improved Simplify Lockdown support for application startup events.

• Fixed several display bugs in the UAP tool.

• Fixed a crash bug in the UAP tool when run on a computer that does not belong to a domain.

• The UAP tool now supports the new Simplify Driver Management product.

• Fixed a bug which caused the ScrewDriver Print Server to crash under some conditions after processing a print job.

• The Simplify Notification Service now verifies that the process started to handle the users session started correctly. If the session handler fails to start, it will log the failure.

• Several ADMX bugs were fixed.

• A 5 to 10 second delay was removed when checking out a product license.

Known Issues

• When installing on German, French, Spanish or Japanese native language operating systems, you must use the native language for the installer.  Failure to do so may compromise the un-install at a later date.  You may safely change the display language for Tricerat products after the install.

• When using silent install command line parameters for server installers and specifying a nodelocked style license (LICENSE_MODE=LicenseActivate), incorrect data is written into the registry.  A workaround exists that requires editing the registry and changing the data after running the installer.  If you need instructions for the workaround, please Contact Tricerat Support.

• Refresh All Printers on a print server object will fail in the Simplify Console when the Tools->Options->Object Pane "Perform Query Printers as a Background Task" is enabled/checked.  Please un-check this option and Refresh All Printers will work as expected.
