Version 6.9.1 was released in May 2019 and has been succeeded by newer versions.





Important

Before installing this version, your Tricerat Licensing Server must be upgraded to v5.1.0 or later!  The upgrade to v5.1.0 Tricerat Licensing Server needs to be completed before upgrading any server component to avoid license checkout issues!  See this page for upgrade instructions: Upgrading Your License Server



New Features and Enhancements

  • Several enhancements were made to Simplify Printing Advanced Print Features (APF) functionality.

  • Simplify Driver Management Bonjour enhancements.

  • Print Job Reporting capability enhancements.

  • OpenSSL encryption now supports v1.1.1a

  • All Firewall rules support all profiles

Improvements and Fixes

  • Several installer bugs were fixed.

  • The Simplify User Assigned Printers Tool now accepts command line arguments and logging has been improved.

  • The timeout while waiting for a ScrewDrivers client to respond after receiving a print job has been reduced from 30 seconds to 2 seconds.

  • A possible ScrewDrivers client delay of 20 seconds has been eliminated.

  • Use of the Authorization Manager has been expanded to include print server and print server printer objects.

  • A Simplify Lockdown service resource leak has been corrected

  • Product compatibility with the Windows Server 2016, 2019 and later operating systems has been improved.  You must upgrade to 6.9.1 or later if you are running a 2016 or later server OS!

  • A licensing grace period bug was fixed that prevented receiving a grace period license when a Suite license was checked out

Known Issues

  • The 32bit ScrewDrivers Client install does not run SetRegistryPermissions.exe during the install.  You can run it manually to correct the issue.  It is located in the C:\Program Files\Tricerat\Common folder, just run As Administrator to correct the issue.
