How to turn on debug logging in TX
On the Print server and TX server debug logging are turned on through the registry as follows:
- Open the registry and go to HKLM\software\tricerat\Simplify Printing TX
- Set the DebugLogLevel key to 4 (1 is error only)
- Restart the services
Logs are written to c:\program data\tricerat\simplify printing TX\logs
On an agent the logging level can be changed on the settings tab:
- Click the settings button
- Click the logging tab
- Set the how much information should we log dropdown to "Everything" then click the Enable logging radio button
- Completely exit the agent and restart it.
Logs on the windows agent are written to c:\program data\tricerat\simplify printing TX\logs and on the Mac it's in the corresponding path (Library/Logs/triCerat) relative to your home directory. (e.g., /Users/rfinn/Library/Logs/triCerat).
From all the agents you do also have the option to Send logs from the Settings > Logging tab rather than manually copy them over. This is the only way to get the logs from the iOS devices.
