Streamlining The License Renewal Process

License renewal can be an intimidating process.  Recent changes to the licensing "backend" should help make this an easy process.

This article only applies to Tricerat v6 software or later!

Prerequisites

If you are currently using a version 4.8.x Tricerat License Server, we recommend upgrading to the latest Tricerat License Server version 5.2.1.0 Please see this page for instructions.

If you are using a nodelocked license and your Tricerat software version is earlier than version 6.1.1, you need a new version of our LicenseActivate.exe program. The 32bit version can be downloaded here. The 64bit version can be downloaded here. This file should be placed in the C:\Program Files\Tricerat\Simplify Licensing folder.  You will also need the new version of our liblmxnet.dll. The 32bit version can be downloaded here. The 64bit version can be downloaded here. This file should be placed in the C:\Program Files\Tricerat\Simplify Licensing folder.

If you are using a nodelocked license with Tricerat software version 6.3.0, you need a new version of our liblmxnet.dll. The 32bit version can be downloaded here. The 64bit version can be downloaded here. This file should be placed in the C:\Program Files\Tricerat\Simplify Licensing folder.

Step-by-step guide

After receiving confirmation that your sales order for license renewal is complete, just follow these steps.

If you are using a Tricerat License Server:
  1. Open the License Administration Console on your license server
  2. Click the Activation button so the Status page is displayed
  3. Then click the Renew button.  Example:
  4. After a few moments, you should see that your license was activated:

If you are using a nodelocked license:
  1. On each nodelocked server, open the Simplify Suite License Tool or the ScrewDrivers Server Control Panel
  2. Click the Renew button.  Example:
