Tricerat ScrewDrivers Endpoint Client can install on IGEL endpoints with the same binaries as other Ubuntu distributions, but leverages the IGEL UMS for automatic deployment to endpoints.

Instructions

Open IGEL Universal Management Suite and follow these steps:

  1. Create a new profile or edit an existing profile.

  2. Under configuration, select System → Firmware Customization → Custom Partition → Download

  3. Add a new Partitions Data Sources.

  4. Under URL, enter https://www.tricerat.com/hubfs/ScrewDriversIGEL/ScrewDrivers-7.1.2.inf

  5. Under Initial action, enter /custom/tricerat/custompart-tricerat init

  6. Click OK to close the dialog box, save the profile, and assign the profile to devices.

When an IGEL device receives the profile, the ScrewDrivers package downloads and installs as a custom partition. The initialization script copies the files to the correct location and installs into the various remote protocols.

Azure Virtual Desktop Support

For connections to WVD/AVD, an additional configuration option needs to be set in the profile that defines the AVD connection.

  1. Open the profile that has the connection to WVD/AVD.

  2. Under configuration, select System → Registry

  3. In the registry, select Parameter → Session → wvd<id> → options → cmd_ext

  4. Enter the command line parameter --dvc libsdigelrdp-client.so

  5. Click OK to close the dialog box, save the profile, and assign the profile to devices.
